Leading Childcare Provider
As a leading childcare provider in Lingfield we value that you know your child best and we work alongside you in caring and educating your child. We believe through working with parents your child will be able to achieve their full potential whilst in our care.
We value your input and support. We send out questionnaires and ask for your opinions on changes to the setting. We often use emails to keep parents updated and regularly informed about what is happening in the setting including illnesses and upcoming events.
Lingfield Nursery School has an open access policy for parents and welcomes you to come to the nursery at any time. We understand that during the first few days you might want to be in touch with us on a more frequent basis and welcome phone calls and emails for regular updates.
Our team talk to parents on a daily basis regarding the day, their child’s likes and dislikes as well as their care routines and milestones. We also have regular informal parents evenings where you can talk with other staff and parents.
We will work with families, respecting and understanding their culture, background and composition, ensuring that working parents are offered every opportunity to take part in nursery activities.
Subject to Local Authority and Department of Education regulations Lingfield Nursery School is able to claim on your behalf the Early Years Entitlement funding currently available for all three and four year olds. Our fees, as stated in our current prospectus, are fully inclusive of all meals, snacks and all extra levels of service that we add regularly to our children's’ sessions throughout the year and at no extra cost to our parents. However, please note that the current Early Years Entitlement is 15 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year (our services run for 51 weeks of the year) and that the ‘free early learning’ funding we receive is non-inclusive of our meals, snacks, additional services and additional childcare hours throughout the year. This funding only covers the Early Years Foundation Stage provision and does not include the extra hours and additional services that we, as a full daycare setting, choose to provide.
Sibling Discounts Available
This government funding may not always be available depending on any changes that the Government introduce relating to the operation of the scheme. As the funding received is in respect of the ‘free early learning’ place only, providers offering specialised services, meals and hours ‘over and above’ this ‘free early learning’ place (which includes the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum) are allowed to make additional charges (eg, meals and extra hours and weeks that funding is not available) as long as parents have been made aware of the fees before placing their child at their chosen setting. We remind parents in our Terms and Conditions that we are a full daycare setting operating over 51 weeks of the year and not just term time and that our fees and extra services, meals etc are payable for every week of the year.
If two or more children within the same family are attending the nursery at the same time we can offer a 7% reduction off all fees each month.
If your employer is willing to help, there are tax efficient ways in the form of childcare vouchers which are deductible from your salary before tax. We are experienced in using all schemes, please contact us for more information.
Save Tax and N.I.
If your employer operates a childcare voucher scheme, you can save National Insurance and Income Tax. By registering for your employer’s scheme, up to £55 a week can be deducted from your salary and used to provide childcare vouchers for the same amount. This amount, which is deducted from your gross salary, is then exempt from National Insurance and Income Tax.
Redeeming your Vouchers
Most providers offer an automatic redemption process. Once you have made this arrangement, the redemption takes place at the same time each month, without any further action needed on your part.
We accept vouchers from many providers and if we don’t currently use a particular provider we are happy to liaise with you to make the necessary arrangements. Listed below are the most common voucher companies we deal with. Please contact the office if you need any further information:
If your employer uses a different provider, our nursery manager will liaise with you to make the necessary arrangements.
Funded Early Education for Two year olds (FEET) offers eligible families up to 15 hours of funded early education and childcare a week for 38 weeks a year. You can find out if your child can get FEET by checking the eligibility criteria by clicking below.
Tax Free Childcare
If you're a working parent with children under 12 (or under 17 for disabled children), you can open an online account to pay for registered childcare. The government will top-up the money you pay into the account. For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2. You can receive up to £2,000 per child, or £4,000 if disabled.
You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.
If either you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 or more, you can’t get Tax-Free Childcare. You can’t use Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as childcare vouchers, Universal Credit or tax credits. You can use it with the 15 hours and 30 hours schemes.
We are registered with Tax Free Childcare and accept this form of payment. Please contact the office for more information.
