Lingfield Nursery School has been running since September 2003.

Some days are more popular than others. Please contact the office to discuss your required hours and days. 01342 836540 or info@lingfieldnurseryschool.co.uk

We offer three two-hour settling in sessions. On your child’s settling in sessions, you will have an opportunity to meet with your child’s key worker and/or the room manager. We encourage you to stay for around 5 minutes to share information about your child. We find in our experience it is then advisable to let your child bond with the team without the parent/parents in the room.

Depending on the hours your child/children are with us they will receive:

Breakfast/Mid morning snack/cooked lunch/Afternoon snack and Afternoon tea

Snack usually contains fresh or dried fruit and water / milk / squash.

All lunches are home made using organic and locally sourced food wherever possible.

The majority of our staff hold Early Years qualifications. These range from Level 2 to Early Years Teacher Status. We also have statutory training that ALL staff complete upon induction, this includes safeguarding, food hygiene and Early Years Foundation Stage Courses.

Our core hours are 8am-6pm. A 7:30am drop off can be arranged with prior notice.

Although our sessions are 8am-6pm, you are welcome to drop off and pick up at times that best suit you.

No, we are open every day:
Monday – Friday apart from one week in December when we close for Christmas. We are also closed for all Bank Holidays.

Yes, all our staff are DBS checked.

If you are running late we ask you to let us know as soon as possible. Unfortunately you will be charged a late fee.

We use an app called Famly. Upon registration you will have access to your child’s profile. The staff will the update the app with updates throughout the day.

There is also a messaging section so you can send a message directly to the team working with your child if you need to share any information or have any questions. As seen in the cameras and webcams section, you will also have access to see for yourself how your child/children are getting on.

We also offer a very open door policy so at any point you have any concerns or worries you are always welcome to pop into the office.

To make sure we have all the relevant details about you and your child and that you tell us as soon as there are any changes. To make sure that your child is brought and collected from nursery regularly and on time. To not send your child to nursery when they are ill and inform staff of this as soon as possible. To work together with us as part of a team to ensure the positive development of your child.

It is important to give as much notice as possible so that we can prepare your child for their move and complete their learning journey so it is ready to take with you on your child’s last day. We require at least one months written notice to terminate your child’s place here at Lingfield Nursery School.

At Lingfield Nursery School the safety of your child is paramount. We do have a system in place enabling you to select nominated people to collect and drop off your child. We also have a password system in place whereby, by prior arrangement, your nominated person must provide us with this password before we release your child to their care.

4 Months -2 Years 1 member of staff to 3 children,

2-3 Years 1 member of staff to 4 children

and 3 Years + 1 member of staff to 8 children

In one way or another the children will interact the animals everyday. This may be at drop off as they walk past and wave to the alpacas or going with a member of staff to collect the eggs.

Yes, you have the opportunity to book extra sessions providing we have the availability on the day.
